This 16-week anger control program focuses on learning behavioral skills necessary for successful social and professional interaction in today’s challenging times. Clients will learn to manage anger through identification of their emotional “triggers,” and how to successfully behave stressful situations.
Domestic violence intervention differs from anger management in that the focus of treatment is on the interaction between the offender and his or her domestic partner. Issues of power and control – not anger – are typically at the root of violent behavior toward one’s spouse. This program assists participants in learning negotiation and communication skills, and interacting with one’s spouse in a spirit of equality. We are a Florida state certified Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP), and offer services for male offenders, female offenders, and victims of domestic violence.
Our Parenting program helps to clarify methods of safe, nurturing methods of changing children’s behavior. Relationship-building, as well as use of positive reinforcement and logical consequences, are emphasized.
Individuals who have been involved with various types of street crime can identify socially acceptable ways to meet their goals. Concentrations include delayed gratification, empathy-building, and anticipation of consequences.
Clients learn to recognize triggers, identify alternative coping strategies, and engage in relapse prevention planning and implementation. Drug testing (urinalysis) is available, as well as certification of results.
Individuals who struggle with sexual addiction often experience severe financial, social and legal consequences. Our program is designed to meet the individual where he or she is, and address methods of replacing the addictive behaviors with more healthy alternatives. Emphasis is placed on determining the cause of the acting out, and development of socially appropriate behavioral alternatives.
Our sexual offender intervention program is intensive and long-term. The average length of the program is four to eight years. Completion requires identification of offending behaviors and implementation of a relapse prevention plan. This program is open to adjudicated and non-adjudicated individuals who have committed sexual crimes against another person.
This psychoeducational group is 16 weeks, and is designed to clarify acceptable sexual behavior and boundaries. It is designed for adults who have made questionable decisions regarding their sexual or physical interactions with others. This program is not designed for adjudicated sexual offenders. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
