Mental health therapy is also known as counseling or psychotherapy. It can include different session formats: individual, couple, family, or group. It can be long-term or short-term. It can focus on the present or the past, or combine the two. Most of all, it is a collaborative process between client and therapist. On the therapist’s part, it requires having met a stringent set of educational and experiential qualifications. Finding the right match -- someone with whom you feel comfortable and have a sense of rapport -- is critical. We fully understand that beginning mental health counseling treatment can be intimidating and overwhelming. However, rest assured that our professional treatment counselors will ensure that you feel comfortable, and will provide a safe environment to assist you in gaining the peace of mind that you deserve. We will work with you to develop an individual treatment plan that addresses your concerns, and will assist you in working toward the goals that you deem most important for your well-being. While we are the professionals, and the experts in human behavior, interaction, and general health, YOU are the expert in your needs, strengths, and abilities. Together, we will assist you in maximizing your strengths and working to improve your difficulties. Together, we can make strides toward improving your life.
